In short
This website (binebit.com) does not set any cookies and does not use advertising or analytics trackers. It stores one small preference in your browser: whether you are viewing the Nigeria or UK version of the site.
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a similar way. Some are essential for a site to work (for example, keeping you signed in). Others are optional, such as those used for analytics or advertising.
What we use on binebit.com
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| binebit-region | Local storage (strictly necessary) | Remembers whether you chose Nigeria or UK, so you see the right currency, rates and legal notices. | Until you clear your browser data |
The BineBit web app and mobile apps
When you sign in to BineBit, we use strictly necessary cookies or device storage to keep you signed in securely, protect your account from fraud and remember your settings. These cannot be switched off because the service does not work without them. [Full list of app cookies to be added before the web app launches.]
How to control cookies
You can delete cookies and local storage, or block them, in your browser settings. If you clear the region preference, the site will simply show the Nigeria version until you choose again.
